Veda is the second piece from this collection based on the jata path of Vedic chant. The accents are placed by combining traditional konnokol figures within the chant structure, presenting an interesting conceptual approach to building arrangements.
 
Veda is performed with the snares off, evoking a sense of meditation and temple-based chants. Inspired by tabla drumming and the konnakol approach to rhythm, the figures in this piece, like its twin Jata Path, are dense and unusual, and present a significant challenge to read and play.
