Numinous Measure is a piece written in the unusual time signature of 15/16. This represents three five-note groupings per bar, acting like quintuplets in 3/4 time.
 
The piece is quite traditionally rudimental, with some challenging figures between a repeated accent pattern. The use of polyrhythms and odd tuplets is prominent, as are compositional devices of phrase density, permutation of phrases, and unusual vocabulary.
 
Spanning four pages and taking just under four minutes to perform, it represents a challenging and fun exploration of traditional rudimental drumming presented in a new way.
